Sing Out For Peace

December 3 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

On Sunday December 3, we will have a potluck and “Sing Out for Peace” at SUUF.

Potluck starting 5:30, Music program 6pm to 7:30.
This is open to anyone and will be advertised in the community.
We will have an online option using a SUUF link so people can attend both in person and from wherever they are.

The purpose is an opportunity for people learn about and “voice” their concerns about what is happening in Israel and Gaza… Israeli and Palestinian people killed, hostages taken, people displaced, bombing of civilian targets, hospitals, lack of fuel and water to run hospitals and provide for basic needs. There will be opportunity to write to Congress and others.

We will play video/recordings of some well-known songs to sing along with, and lead singing with our own instruments and words for people to sing along.

People are invited to bring instruments, a song, artwork to share.

The event is free, donations are welcome and will be sent to Doctors Without Borders and Oxfam.

Expressing ourselves, sharing music and art in stressful times is a form of self-care. This event is co-sponsored by the Turning Institute which advocates for wellness and healing as we care for each other and the Earth. (Turning Institute is a project of Shunpike.org nonprofit arts management).
