In this special service we focused on books. Like other communion services, participants were encouraged to bring a book to leave for others and had the opportunity to take a book that someone else had brought. Some wrapped their book to add the element of surprise in the exchange. Kathy spoke about the importance of books, as well as the danger of banning them, as many states and cities have been proned to do. Members were invited to share a passage from their favorite book.
