Social Justice Committee

The SUUF members interested in social justice issues-discussion, projects, actions-and interested in meeting via Zoom can join the 3rd Monday of every month. Join and hear what others bring to discuss and/or bring your the items, actions, you want to engage others with.

Starting in September the SUUF Social Justice Committee will begin a year’s long engagement with Heather Vickery, UU Coordinator for Congregational Activism, UU Service Committee. Heather came to SUUF and offered a service April 19, 2026 Joy is the Secret of Resistance.

Part of Heather’s role is to support congregations and explore how to best live our UU values as congregations. Heather will help us have some deep conversations about this topic–we will see what emerges. I think it promises to be quite interesting and life giving. The format will be Heather coming to every other meeting with some light lift homework in between.
