In this season, when Orthodox Christians around the world are celebrating Easter, we will explore the orthodox perspective, also pointed to in Mark’s story of Jesus, that resurrection is a community event.

Rev. Dr. Catherine Foote is a retired United Church of Christ minister. Catherine moved to Whidbey Island in 2001, and commuted to Seattle for 20 years, where she served University Congregational United Church of Christ. She now enjoys spending all her time focusing on her South Whidbey farm where she raises sheep with the help of her border collies and livestock guardian dog. Catherine is the author of the book Shepherding the Seasons, Stories from a Life with Two Flocks.
